A pastor with a guitar, and a calm place to stand on your big day.

I’m Randy Bennett, an ordained pastor from Stanton, Michigan, and the man behind “The Singing Pastor.” I officiate weddings, and I sing and play guitar while I do it.
For years I’ve led services largely on my own: preaching, planning the music, and adapting when something changes at the last minute. That experience shapes how I show up for a wedding. I’m calm, prepared and steady, so you can be fully present with each other.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all scripts. Every ceremony begins with a conversation about who you are and what matters to you, and I build the day around that, from the words to the music.
What working together looks like
- A first conversation about your story, your values and the ceremony you’re imagining.
- A personalized ceremony written with you, with rehearsal and premarital counseling if you’d like them.
- Live vocals and guitar, selected with you, for the ceremony and, if you choose, the cocktail hour and reception.
- A steady, friendly presence on the day itself, with clear communication before it.
The music doesn’t stop at the ceremony.
When I’m not officiating, I play live at wineries, breweries, private parties and corporate events across Michigan: country, classic rock, Americana and crowd favorites. That’s the Randy Bennett Events side of the business.
